BIG EAST Women’s Soccer Weekly Awards Announced (11.3.25)

BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week
Maja Lardner, Georgetown, Gr., F
Lardner led the Hoyas’ offense in a dominant 4-0 win over Xavier, scoring twice. Her first goal came just two minutes after Georgetown’s opener, giving GU control of the match early. She capped the night with a strike from the top of the 18-yard box to seal the win and complete a perfect 10-0 BIG EAST regular season.

BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
Olivia Sides, Creighton, Fr., D
Sides led the Bluejays backline to its fourth shutout of the season while assisting on the game-winner with a beautifully-placed corner as Creighton secured the No. 4 seed in the BIG EAST Tournament with a 3-0 victory over St. John’s.

BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week
Cara Martin, Georgetown, Sr., GK
Martin posted her seventh shutout of the season in Georgetown’s 4-0 win at Xavier. Facing a Xavier offense that outshot GU 20-15, Martin recorded eight saves to preserve the clean sheet. 

BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Jalen Chaney, Creighton, Fr., F

Chaney helped the Bluejays secure the final spot in the BIG EAST Tournament, netting a goal in Creighton’s 3-0 win over St. John’s.

BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Alyssa Zalac, Creighton, Sr., GK

Zalac recorded her fourth shutout of the season, guiding the Bluejays to their second consecutive BIG EAST Tournament. The senior needed only to collect two saves in Creighton’s 3-0 win over St. John’s in the regular season finale.

Isabel Boodell, Georgetown, Jr., D
Boodell anchored a defensive unit that shut down a potent Xavier attack, limiting high-quality chances and preserving the clean sheet. She also contributed offensively, heading in Georgetown’s third goal off a set piece late in the first half. Her two-way impact was crucial in securing the program’s first perfect BIG EAST regular season.
Hannah Dickinson, Villanova, Sr., GK
Dickinson recorded her eighth solo shutout, tying for the fifth-most in a single season by a Wildcat, against Butler on Saturday.

Kate Dobsch, Villanova, Gr., M
Against Butler, Dobsch was part of a Villanova backline that recorded a ninth shutout on the year, the most for the program since 2007
