Savannah White had 11 points, five assists, five blocks and four steals in the win.  Xavier outscored New Haven 17-8 in the second quarter for a 33-18 lead heading into the half. The Musketeers limited New Haven to a .333 field-goal percentage.

Kate Novik finished with 19 points, six assists, three steals and three blocks. Natiah Nelson tallied a double-double on 13 points and 15 rebounds. The DePaul defense forced 35 turnovers as the team recorded its fifth-straight season-opening win.
