DePaul Welcomes #25 Michigan State to Chicago
DePaul will play its second nationally ranked opponent this year in #25 Michigan State on Sunday, December 14. The game is set for a 5:30 p.m. ET tip on FS1 with Noah Reed and Kim Adams on the call. DePaul looks for its first win over Michigan State as the Spartans lead the series, 5-0. The Blue Demons are coming off a win over UMass Lowell, where Kate Novik recorded her first career triple-double with 12 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists, marking the eighth triple-double in program history. Michigan State is led by Grace Vanslooten with 15.5 points and 7.3 rebounds through nine games. Kennedy Blair is also averaging double digits in points (13.0) with five double-figure scoring performances. The Spartans rank first in the nation in assist/turnover ratio (2.40) and turnover margin (+15.3).

Butler – Butler has forced its opponents to commit double-digit turnovers in 13 of the last 14 games. Lily Zeinstra leads the Bulldogs’ offense, averaging 11.3 points per game. The sophomore is shooting 48.9% from the floor and 40.5% from beyond the arc
Creighton – Creighton is on a three-game winning streak after beginning the season 1-4. The Bluejays have had five games of 10 or more made treys this season.
Marquette – Skylar Forbes paces the Golden Eagles, ranking fifth in the BIG EAST in scoring at 15.8 points per game. Against Butler, she scored a career-high tying 26 points, shooting 10-for-16 from the field and 4-for-6 from deep. Marquette ranks 11th in the country with a 39.5 three-point percentage.
Seton Hall – This is the first meeting between Seton Hall and Auburn since 2010, when Auburn defeated the Pirates in the Bahamas. The Pirates have been heavy on the boards, ranking second in the BIG EAST with 41.38 rebounds per game. Seton Hall has had a halftime lead in all eight games so far this season.
Xavier – A win on Sunday would be the team’s eighth win of the season, the most wins before Christmas since the 2018-19 season. Mariyah Noel is averaging 15.9 points per game, ranking fourth in the BIG EAST. She also ranks second on the team in rebounding (6.2), to be one of three players who rank in the top-10 in the conference in both rebounding and scoring. The Musketeers sit in second in the BIG EAST and 30th in the country in free-throw percentage (.771).
BIG EAST to Provide Public Availability Reports for Men's and Women's Basketball
Beginning in 2025-26, the BIG EAST Conference will provide public reports on the availability of student-athletes in conference games in the sports of men's and women's basketball. BIG EAST schools will be required to submit availability reports three hours before the scheduled tipoff time. Under the reporting structure, players will be designated as "questionable" or "out." Availability reports will be posted on the BIG EAST website throughout the 2025-26 season.
