PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Notre Dame senior Max Scodro earned BIG EAST men's golf Player of the Week honors, while USF sophomore Christina Miller was named BIG EAST women's golf Player of the Week.
Scodro finished tied for 13th 69-71-72-212 (-4) at the Schenkel Invitational at the Forest Heights Country Club in Statesboro, Ga. He posted his sixth top-25 finish on the season, while also recording his fifth team-leading effort on the year in a field that featured six-top-30 teams and 16 ranked individuals. He currently leads the team in both under-par (8) and even-par (3) rounds on the year, while having broken 70 four times.
Miller finished tied for second 69-67-72-208 (-2) at the Sun Trust Gator Women's Invite at the Mark Bostick Golf Course in Gainesville, Fla. This marks her sixth top-3 finish of the season. Her score of 208 is a season-best by one stroke. Her performance over the weekend helped her move up to No. 66 in the Golfweek rankings. She also helped the Bulls finish tied for sixth in a 17-team field.
The next BIG EAST Golf Player of the Week release will be on March 28.
