PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Louisville's Max Walz and Notre Dame's Ashley Armstrong were named BIG EAST Golf Athletes of the Week for the final week of March. Armstrong finished first at the Briar's Creek Invitational and Walz took second place at the Memphis Intercollegiate.
Armstrong was named BIG EAST Women's Golf Player of the Week for the second consecutive week after finishing first with a score of 217 (74-71-72) at the Briar's Creek Invitational on March 25-26. The sophomore finished one over par in windy conditions to help the Fighting Irish to a first-place team finish. Armstrong topped seven top-100 nationally ranked opponents and four in the top-50.
Walz earned BIG EAST Men's Golf Player of the Week honors after taking second at the Memphis Intercollegiate with a score of 221 (76-74-71). The freshman is the third consecutive Cardinal to win the award, helping Louisville to a fourth-place finish in Memphis on March 25-26.

- · Cincinnati and Rutgers record strong finishes at UC Invite
o Cincinnati junior Olivia Dose finished tied for second with a score of 149 (78-71) at the Planation Golf Resort and Spa on March 22-24.
o Rutgers senior Brittany Weddell finished tied for 13th with a score of 152 (77-75).
- Louisville teammates Meghan Theiss and Candice Wiley finished tied for first at the Ohio State Dual Match on March 23. Both shot a 74.
BIG EAST Men's Golf Notebook
- St. John's junior Ryan McCormick finished tied for 10th at the Anteater Invitational, March 25-26 with a score of 223 (77-74-72). The Red Storm finish 9th overall.
- Notre Dame freshman Cory Siupider finished three under par with a 67 in the only round of the C&F Bank Intercollegiate hosted by William & Mary. The tournament was eventually completely suspended for the final two rounds due to weather conditions.
