NEW YORK – Seton Hall freshman Lloyd Jefferson Go will enter the 2014 BIG EAST Men’s Golf Championships on a roll after claiming his second straight weekly award from the conference.

Seton Hall took second at the Rutherford Invitational last weekend and leapt eight teams in the standings to finish as the runner up. Go finished with a 3-under-par 210 (71-69-70) to finish second amongst the field of 78 individuals. The freshman now has four sub-par tournaments on the season, already tying him for third all-time in Pirate history.

• Ryan McCormick of St. John’s shot a 1-under 71 in his final regular-season outing at the Wolfpack Spring Open last weekend. The event was knocked down from 36 holes to 18 because of weather. He carded three birdies and helped the Red Storm finish sixth.
• Marquette’s CJ Swift carded a final-round 72 to help the Golden Eagles to an eighth-place showing at the El Macero Classic in California. The redshirt sophomore had 10 birdies and an eagle over 54 holes, playing the par 5s at 4-under. His 74-77-72 landed him 17th overall, his highest showing of the spring.
• The next competition for all teams is the BIG EAST Men’s Golf Championships at Callawassie Island Golf Club in Callawassie Island, S.C. The practice round is scheduled for Saturday, and the 54-hole tournament gets started Sunday and lasts through Tuesday.
