Louisville's Sciot-Siegrist Picks Up First Collegiate Win to Earn BIG EAST Men's Golf Weekly Honors

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Louisville freshman Robin Sciot-Siegrist was named BIG EAST Men's Golf Athlete of the Week for the third time this season after earning medalist honors at Boilermaker Invitational.


Sciot-Siegrist shot a 211 (71-71-69) to finish five under par and tie for first on the Kampen Course in West Lafayette, Ind. The freshman led a comeback effort for the Cardinals, who were ten strokes back and finished tied for first with Iowa.


The freshman leads all BIG EAST golfers with an average round score of 72.79. Sciot-Siegrist has finished in the top-10 seven times this season.


The 2013 BIG EAST Men's Golf Championship will take place April 28-30 at the Reunion Resort & Club in Orlando, Fla.
