USF, Seton Hall Capture BIG EAST Golf Player of the Month Honors

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The BIG EAST Conference announced its men's and women's Golf Player of the Month awards for October play. USF sophomore Christina Miller grabbed the award on the women's side, while junior Brandon Park earned the distinction for the men.
Miller earns BIG EAST women's golf Player of the Month after an impressive showing at the USF-Waterlefe Invitational on Oct. 10-11. Miller shot rounds of 76, 69, and 74 in the three-round tournament at Waterlefe Golf & River Country Club in Bradenton, Fla., to claim first place individually. Her score of 219 guided the Bulls to a first place finish in the team standings.  Miller also notched a second-place finish at the Lady Paladin Invitational held on Oct. 28-30 at The Furman Golf Course in Greenville, S.C. She finished 11-over par with rounds of 82, 75 and 70. Her 227 score helped the Bulls to their second tournament title in October.
Park earns BIG EAST men's golf Player of the Month by notching two first-place finishes in October. The junior recorded the highest finish of his career when he tied for first at the Barnabas Health Intercollegiate on Oct. 15-16 at Fiddler's Elbow Country Club in Bedminster, N.J. The following weekend he recorded his first career medal with a win at the Lehigh Invitational. His final round 69 (3-under par) led the Pirates to the team title at the Lehigh Invitational as well. Park led Seton Hall in all four tournaments in October.
