West Virginia and Notre Dame Earn Swimming and Diving Weekly Honors

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - West Virginia senior Taylor Camp has been selected BIG EAST Men's Swimming and Diving Athlete of the Week and Notre Dame freshman Emma Reaney is the BIG EAST Women's Swimming and Diving Athlete of the Week.
Camp posted several top times while competing against Cincinnati and Villanova. He recorded a time of 49.36 in the 100-yard butterfly and a first-place finish in the 200 fly with a time of 1:51.15.  Camp also led the 400 free relay team to a victory when he swam the first leg in 22.25. Overall, Camp's victories paced the Mountaineers to a sweep over the BIG EAST foes.
Reaney won three individual events and a relay in a dual meet at Louisville. She led the Irish with wins in the 200-yard breaststroke, 200 IM and the 100 breaststroke, finishing in 2:13.55, 2:02.13 and 1:02.65, respectively. All three times are currently the fastest time in the BIG EAST for each event.  Reaney also anchored the 400 free relay team, swimming her leg in 50.60 and pulling her team from second to first place. 
The 2011-12 Swimming and Diving Athlete of the Week honors will be awarded throughout the season when at least half of the teams are participating. The next weekly honors will be awarded on November 22.
