TAMPA, Fla. - Due to impending weather conditions in the Tampa area, the schedule for the third day of action at the BIG EAST Tennis Championships has been altered.
In the men's bracket, the semifinal matches have now been moved to 9 a.m. No. 1 Notre Dame will play No. 4 USF at the P.E. Courts. No. 2 Louisville will face No. 3 St. John's at the Andros Corm Courts. Both Consolation matches will remain as scheduled with No. 5 DePaul playing No. 8 Villanova at noon at the P.E. Courts and No. 6 Marquette playing No. 7 Georgetown at noon at the Andros Dorm Courts.
On the women's side, the 9 a.m. semifinal matches between No. 1 Notre Dame and No. 4 DePaul, and No. 2 USF and No. 6 Louisville will remain at 9 a.m. at the Varsity Courts. The consolation bracket matches of No. 3 Syracuse and No. 8 Rutgers, and No. 5 Georgetown and No. 7 Marquette will now be played at noon at the Varsity Courts. Match 14 between No. 9 Cincinnati and the winner of No. 10 St. John's and No. 11 Pittsburgh will be played as scheduled at 3 p.m. at the Varsity Courts. (The match between St. John's and Pittsburgh was suspended due to lightning and will be finished Saturday morning at 9 a.m.).
