NEW YORK - 2014 BIG EAST Women's Tennis Champion DePaul will play against Notre Dame in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, it was announced Tuesday evening during the NCAA Selection Show on NCAA.com.

The Blue Demons (22-3) earned an automatic berth by virtue of Sunday's 4-0 victory over Xavier in the BIG EAST title match. DePaul was the conference tournament's top seed.

It will be a neutral site match taking place at Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill., a short drive from DePaul's Chicago campus. The contest is set for Friday, May 9 at 1 p.m. Eastern/Noon local time.

Both DePaul and Notre Dame (16-9) are unseeded. The winner will battle either No. 15 seed Northwestern (19-6) or Miami (Ohio) (17-6). The first round winners will play on May 10 in the second round.

The winner of each site advances to the Dan Magill Tennis Complex in Athens, Ga., where the 16 teams will compete for the national championship May 15-20. The event will be hosted by top-seeded Georgia.
