NEW YORK - St. John's, which captured its first BIG EAST Men's Tennis Title in 23 years Sunday, will head to Gainesville to take on No. 14 seed Florida in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, it was announced Tuesday evening on the NCAA.com Selection Show.

The Red Storm will meet the Gators Saturday, May 10 at 12 p.m.

St. John's (16-7) was the top seed in the BIG EAST Tournament and defeated No. 3 seed DePaul 4-1 Sunday at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, N.Y., to capture its first conference title since 1991.

The Gators (15-9) will host the first and second rounds. The St. John's-Florida winner will meet either South Florida (18-6) or Florida State (18-11) on Sunday, May 11.

The winner of each site advances to the Dan Magill Tennis Complex in Athens, Georgia, where the 16 teams will compete for the national championship May 16-20. The event will be hosted by Georgia. USC is the No. 1 seed.
