Notre Dame's Andrews Eliminated From Round of 32 At NCAA Singles Championship




BIG EAST Player of the Year, junior Greg Andrews of Notre Dame, was eliminated from the NCAA Men's Tennis Singles Championship Thursday at the Atkins Tennis Center in Urbana-Champaign, Ill. No. 80 Andrews fell in the second round to No. 16 Ray Sarmiento of USC 7-5, 1-6, 6-4. The junior finished the 2013 season with a 26-13 record (18-7 in dual play). Andrews earned BIG EAST Player of the Year honors for the second consecutive season and was named the Most Outstanding Player at the 2013 BIG EAST Men's Tennis Championship.
