NEW YORK – Xavier started the spring outdoor season by taking three of four BIG EAST Track and Field weekly awards for the period from March 17-23.
BIG EAST Men’s Track Athlete of the Week
TOM OHLMAN, XAVIER Sr., Carmel, Ind.
Ohlman finished fourth at the Butler Invitational in the 3,000 meters with a time of 8:26.72.
BIG EAST Women’s Track Athlete of the Week
CLAIRE MOONEY, ST. JOHN’S Jr., Kildare, Ireland
Mooney took second in the 400-meter dash at the Eighth Spring Break Classic in Carolina, Puerto Rico on March 22 with a time of 55.32, which puts her inside the NCAA’s top 75 in the event in the outdoor season’s early stages. She also added a seventh-place finish in the 200 in 25.53.

JOHN KOLIBAB, XAVIER Jr., Chagrin Falls, Ohio
Kolibab hit a personal best and set the Musketeer record with a winning height of 2.01 meters in the high jump as Xavier opened the spring outdoor season at the Butler Invitational.

MERCEDES OLIVER, XAVIER So., Cleveland, Ohio
Oliver made a strong transition from indoor competition to outdoor when she set a new personal best of 13.08 meters in the shot put at the Butler Invitational.
