Full NCAA Preliminary Results: East | West

NEW YORK – A total of 17 BIG EAST student-athletes advanced to the upcoming NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships after qualifying at the NCAA preliminary events held over the weekend in Jacksonville, Fla., and Fayetteville, Ark.

Georgetown and Villanova lead with six athlete apiece who qualified for the NCAA Championships, which will take place June 11-14 in Eugene, Ore. Butler and Providence are scheduled to send two each, while DePaul has one qualifier.

Fifteen of the 17 to earn berths to Eugene were in track events. Of those 15, 12 earned their bids through automatic qualification because of placements within their heats. The remaining three were among the fastest times in their events outside of the automatic qualifiers. In the two track events, competitors who finished in the top 12 earned spots at the NCAA Championships.

Below is a list of the BIG EAST’s qualifiers from the preliminary rounds, plus their performances in their most recent heats that advanced them to the NCAA Championships.
