BIG EAST Track and Field Teams Earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Status

12 women's teams and four men's teams honored for cumulative team GPAs of 3.0 or better.

NEW ORLEANS, La. - The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has announced that 16 BIG EAST institutions earned Division I All-Academic team honors. The Big East led all conferences as 12 of the women's teams notched All-Academic status, including Cincinnati, Connecticut, DePaul, Georgetown, Louisville, Marquette, Rutgers, St. John's, USF, Syracuse, Villanova, and West Virginia. The MAC, Big Ten, Atlantic 10, and Big 12 followed with eight.

Four men's teams also laded on the list, including Cincinnati, DePaul, Louisville and Rutgers.

A total of 151 schools on the women's side and 73 on the men's side earned the distinction as a result of a cumulative team GPA of 3.0 or better.
