A total of nine University of Cincinnati cross country runners clocked personal-best times on Saturday at the Pre-Nationals Meet in Terre Haute, Ind.
The men’s team started off the day by tallying four personal bests in the Men’s Blue race, which included programs ranked within the Top 10 and featured 359 runners.
Evan Baum led the pack for the fourth time this season as he clocked in with a time of 24:29.00, which is a new personal best for the 8K distance. Kevin Fink followed in Baum with a time of 25:17.51, which is also Fink’s top time.
Greg Sanders and Anthony Car were the other two Bearcats that finished with personal-best times. Sanders crossed the finish line at 26:07.49, while Car finished in 26:29.51
The women’s program ran the fourth race of the day in the Women’s White race, which featured 227 runners.
Junior Ashley Earman paced UC with a personal-best time of 22:39.95, which is nearly 11 seconds faster than her previous best time. Alex Mahle was the second Bearcats runner to cross the finish line as she clocked in at 23:20.20.
Maggie Bischoff, Melissa Deitzer and Annette Brickman each ran personal-best times in the 6K race. Bischoff was third with a time of 24:20.77.
The Bearcats will take a week off before heading to Storrs, Conn. for the American Athletic Conference Championships on Nov. 2.
