CHICAGO -- The DePaul men's and women's cross country teams will participate in their second meet of the year on Friday afternoon in South Bend, Ind., at the National Catholic Championships hosted by the University of Notre Dame.
Race time is slated for 3:30 p.m. ET.
The Blue Demons finished eighth out of 34 teams on the men's side in last year's event. Eddie McDaniel logged a 14th place finish out of 277 runners in South Bend to pace the Blue Demons in 2012. On the women's side, Jackie Kasal took 33rd out of 266 runners a season ago.
The race will take place at the University of Notre Dame Golf Course. Last year, host Notre Dame finished first out of 34 teams in both the men's and women's events.
The National Catholic Championships is the last meet of September for the Blue Demons. After two weeks off, DePaul will compete in events on back-to-back weekends in October, beginning on Oct. 12 at the Lucian Rosa Invitational in Kenosha, Wis., and concluding with the Bradley Classic in Peoria, Ill., on Oct. 18.
