Louisville (7-1) and USF (2-5) picked up nonconference wins on Tuesday night. The Cardinals downed Morehead State 13-4 at home, while the Bulls defeated UCF in Orlando 6-4.


Louisville extended its winning streak to seven on Tuesday with the 13-4 victory over Morehead State. Freshman Danny Rosenbaum recorded his first career home run, going 2-for-3 with five RBI. The Cardinals have defeated their opponents by an average of over seven runs per game this season. Louisville will face Kent State this weekend to wrap up an eight-game homestand.


USF clung to a much-needed 6-4 victory over UCF on Tuesday. The Bulls took a 6-0 lead into the bottom of the seventh, but UCF scored four runs in the seventh and eighth innings. Senior Jimmy Falla led the offense for USF, going 2-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBI. Sophomore Mike Clarkson took the win on the mound, while senior Steven Leasure notched the save.


BIG EAST baseball action continues on Wednesday, as Georgetown hosts George Mason at 3:00 p.m., and St. John's faces No. 1 North Carolina in Chapel Hill at 3:00 p.m.
