USF Takes Both BIG EAST Weekly Baseball Awards

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -USF third baseman Daniel Rockhold was selected as the BIG EAST Baseball Player of the Week while Bulls pitcher Derrick Stultz was named BIG EAST Baseball Pitcher of the week after USF swept a weekend series against Savannah State.
 
Rockhold posted a .556 batting average with five hits in nine at bats. He hit two home runs while driving in seven RBIs. Rockhold also scored five runs in the three games.
 
Stultz pitched six scoreless innings while earning the victory. He struck out six batters while only allowing three hits and did not walk a batter.
