Pittsburgh extended its winning streak to five with a come-from-behind 10-8 win over Penn State in University Park. The Panthers went down 5-0 in the first inning, but scored five runs of their own in the sixth to take the lead. First baseman Eric Hess notched the RBI single in the top of the ninth with two outs . J.R. Leonardi held the lead on the mound in the bottom of the ninth, striking out three of the four batters he faced.   

 

No. 10 Louisville tallied just five hits in a 6-2 loss at No. 19 Indiana on Wednesday. The Hoosiers defeated the Cardinals in Louisville's first game of the season on Feb. 15 2-0. The Cardinals took an early 1-0 lead in the third on a leadoff single from center-fielder Adam Engel who came around to score.

 

Conference play continues this weekend.  Cincinnati visits St. John's, Seton Hall hosts Connecticut, USF visits Georgetown, Notre Dame and Louisville square off at Jim Patterson Stadium and Villanova hosts Rutgers. Pittsburgh has the league bye and will host Towson.
