Villanova kept its strong shooting streak going and Providence ended a three-game losing streak in Wednesday's BIG EAST action.
The Wildcats, ranked eighth in this week's Associated Press poll, hit at a 52 percent clip in an 83-67 victory at Seton Hall. Guard Darren Hilliard led the VU marksmen with 19 points. He made 4-of-5 3-point attempts.
Guard Brian Oliver led Seton Hall with 20 points, which included six 3-pointers. Sterling Gibbs filled his stat line with 13 points, eight assists, six rebounds and three steals.
The Friars went on a 14-0 run early in the second half en route to a 70-52 win over visiting Georgetown. It was PC's first win over the Hoyas since March 5, 2005.
Forward Kadeem Batts scored a game-high 21 points and guard Bryce Cotton contributed 20 points and seven assists.
The Hoyas were led by guard D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera, who finished with 19 points.
FOX Sports 1 has both BIG EAST games on Thursday. At 7 p.m. ET, DePaul plays at Butler followed by Marquette at Xavier.
