The only BIG EAST game on Wednesday featured one of the biggest comebacks of the season.
Xavier was down 53-36 against Georgetown with 15 minutes remaining, but found a way to rally and grab an 80-67 victory.
The Musketeer backcourt of Semaj Christon and Dee Davis was very productive. Christon shot 9-of-12 from the floor and finished with 18 points. Davis shot 5-of-6 from the floor and from 5-of-5 from the foul line, scoring a season-high 17 points.
Georgetown's backcourt was productive, too. Markel Starks finished with 19 points, seven assists and five rebounds. D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera added 18 points.
The Musketeers are 12-0 at the Cintas Center this season.
The Thursday schedule also includes just one contest. Providence plays St. John's at Carnesecca Arena. The Friars won last season's only meeting 62-59 in Providence.
The game will feature the second and third-leading scorers in the conference. PC's Bryce Cotton is second with a 20.2 scoring average. D'Angelo Harrison of St. John's is third at 19.1.
