Men's Basketball Minute: Marquette Improves To 4-0 In BIG EAST Play

Marquette, which had won two overtime games and a one-point decision in its first three BIG EAST contests of the year, remained unbeaten in conference play with a 69-62 win against Seton Hall Wednesday in Milwaukee.

While the Golden Eagles continue to set the pace in the early part of the BIG EAST season, Georgetown and Pittsburgh have shaken off tough starts to play themselves back in the race. The Hoyas, who opened with back-to-back BIG EAST losses, evened their league record at 2-2 with a 74-65 win against Providence. The Panthers, who likewise dropped their first two league games, scored the last 15 points of their 58-43 win against Villanova to get to 2-3 in the BIG EAST.

Only one BIG EAST game is slated for Thursday before a busy Saturday comes into play. Thursday's matchup has USF in Piscataway, N.J., to face Rutgers. The Scarlet Knights sit at 2-2 in the BIG EAST and 11-4 overall, while the Bulls come in looking for their first league win.
