American Eagle Outfitters Presents Latest Installment of Great BIG EAST Basketball Championship Moments

As the official presenting sponsor of the 2011 Men's and Women's BIG EAST Basketball Championships, American Eagle Outfitters will present a new feature highlighting a great moment from each Championship each Tuesday.

This Week's Moments:

Men's Basketball Championship - Ray Allen Sinks Georgetown in 1996
In one of the most exciting BIG EAST Championship games in the history of the tournament to date, Connecticut captured its second conference tournament title thanks to Ray Allen's running floater to put the Huskies ahead for good, 75-74 over Georgetown, in the final 13 seconds.  The Huskies put together a 10-0 run - eight straight came from Kirk King - to come back from an 11-point deficit in the final four minutes.

Women's Basketball Championship - Villanova Stuns Connecticut in 2003

With its 52-48 upset of top-seeded and top-ranked Connecticut in the BIG EAST Championship, Villanova ended two monumental streaks. The Huskies had won nine consecutive BIG EAST Championships and an astounding 70 straight games, dating back to the 2001-02 season opener. READ MORE
