CHICAGO - After playing just three games since Jan. 15, DePaul opens a stretch of three games in seven days on Wednesday night at St. John's. DePaul enters the game looking to snap a season-high four-game losing streak while evening the season series with the Red Storm. St. John's won the first meeting of the season on Jan. 19 at Allstate Arena.

The game will be televised on ESPNU at 9 p.m. ET with Adam Amin (play-by-play) and Tim Welsh (analyst) handling the television duties. The broadcast is also available online at WatchESPN.com. DePaul stands at 10-9 overall and 1-5 in the BIG EAST while St. John's is the hottest team in the BIG EAST with four straight wins for a 13-7 overall record and 5-3 mark in league play. DePaul head coach Oliver Purnell is in his third season at DePaul and his 25th as a head coach at the collegiate level. St. John's coach Steve Lavin is in his third season leading the Red Storm.

Following the St. John's game, DePaul continues the busy week and hosts Notre Dame on Saturday and Villanova on Tuesday, Feb. 5. Both games game can be seen on ESPN2 and heard on WSCR 670 AM.

DePaul stormed back and cut the deficit to three points with 2:24 left... St. John's clinched the win by scoring the game's final six points... Jamee Crockett led DePaul with 19 points, four rebounds, four steals and three assists before fouling out with a minute left... Cleveland Melvin added 16 points and eight boards... St. John's was led by 18 points from Jamal Branch and 15 by D'Angelo Harrison... the loss for DePaul was just the second this season when outrebounding the opponent.

Demon Doings: Notes following DePaul's 93-55 loss at Pittsburgh on Jan. 26:
- Pittsburgh leads the series by an 8-2 margin.
- DePaul's field goal percentage was the lowest since shooting .241 (14-58) at Northwestern on Dec. 6, 2008.
- Moses Morgan became the 16th player in program history with 100 career three-pointers with his third three of the game.
- Brandon Young moved into 33rd on DePaul's all-time scoring list.

Blue Demons in the NCAA & BIG EAST Stat Rankings: Through games of Jan. 27, DePaul is 17th in the NCAA rankings with an average of 9.5 steals per game, 46th with a turnover margin of +2.8 and 53rd with a scoring average of 73.2 points per game. Through games of Jan. 28, the Blue Demons are third in steals (9.47 spg) and scoring (73.2 ppg) and sixth in turnover margin (+2.79) among the 15 BIG EAST programs.

Individually, Cleveland Melvin is ranked among national leaders in scoring, field goal percentage, rebounding, steals and double-doubles while Brandon Young is ranked in scoring, field goal percentage, assists and steals. Donnavan Kirk is also ranked among the top shot blockers.

In the BIG EAST rankings through games of Jan. 28, Cleveland Melvin is the league's only player ranked among the top 10 in scoring and rebounding. Melvin is fifth in both categories with Georgetown's Otto Porter as the next-closest player at fourth in rebounding and 13th in scoring.
