Butler finished the game with a 13-2 run to defeat Seton Hall 64-57 Wednesday at the Prudential Center. It was the Bulldogs' first BIG EAST road win.
Buter limited the Pirates to 32.3 percent shooting in the second half. The Bulldogs had balanced scoring with five of their seven players tallying between nine and 13 points.
Fuquan Edwin has been the hot scoring Pirate of late. The senior wing notched a game-high 20 points, the third time in the last four games he has scored at least 20 points.
Thursday's lone game on the BIG EAST schedule has Providence at Marquette. The Friars are the hottest team in the league with a five-game winning streak. Marquette had its 20-game BIG EAST home winning streak end last Saturday with an overtime loss to Villanova.
A Friar win would give Providence a 6-2 BIG EAST record. The last time the Friars were four games over .500 in league play was when they were 6-2 in 2008-09.
Marquette's last three games have gone into overtime and the game before those three contests was decided by one point.
