Syracuse was the only road team to win Saturday in the BIG EAST. The Orange shot 55.7 percent from the floor in their 95-70 win over St. John's at Madison Square Garden. The usual balanced scoring continued for SU. Three players scored 14 points and two players finished with 13 points.
Notre Dame connected on half of its shots from the floor in its 76-59 victory over Marquette. Freshman Pat Connaughton posted game highs of 23 points and 11 rebounds.
Georgetown held USF to 31.4 shooting in a 75-45 win over the Bulls. The Hoyas spread out the scoring with Henry Sims' team-high 13 points.
Connecticut held Seton Hall to 25.9 shooting in a 69-46 triumph in Hartford. Ryan Boatright led the Huskies with 19 points and Jeremy Lamb added 17.
Freshman Chane Behanan helped Louisville defeat Rutgers 78-66 with 23 points and 11 rebounds. He was 11-of-12 from the floor.
Cincinnati played a strong second half and ended a three-game losing streak by beating DePaul 74-66. Yancy Gates and Sean Kilpatrick each scored 16 points.
