The final day of the 2012-13 BIG EAST regular season leaves much at stake as three teams eye the league's regular-season title while three more hope to gain the final double bye in The BIG EAST Championship.
Georgetown, Louisville and Marquette enter Saturday with a chance to claim the regular-season crown and the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament. Each team would be declared regular-season champion with a win, though Georgetown holds tiebreaker advantages on both the Cardinals and the Golden Eagles when it comes to seeding.
Meanwhile, Pittsburgh, Syracuse and Notre Dame are tied for fourth place in the standings, with one of those three primed to receive the free pass to the quarterfinals of the BIG EAST Championship. Pittsburgh enters the day ahead in a complicated tiebreaker process — the Panthers' 2-0 record against Connecticut and Providence is the determining factor — but all six of Saturday's games could have an effect on the eventual outcome for that group.
ESPN College GameDay will originate from the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C., for the Syracuse-Georgetown game at noon.
Pairings for The BIG EAST Championship will be announced Saturday night.
