Creighton forward Doug McDermott topped even himself with a career-high performance on Saturday night in his final game in front of a home crown at the CenturyLink Center before claiming his ninth BIG EAST Player of the Week nod. The Bluejays will be the No. 2 seed in the upcoming BIG EAST Tournament Presented by NEW YORK LIFE in New York City.

Elsewhere on Saturday, St. John's Rysheed Jordan poured in a strong performance to help give the Red Storm a double-overtime victory and the tournament's No. 5 seed. The Johnnies have won eight of 10 and 11 of their last 14.

McDermott averaged 33.5 points and 9.5 rebounds while becoming the eighth player in NCAA history to surpass 3,000 career points. He scored a career-high 45 points -- the most points by a BIG EAST player this season -- in an 88-73 win over Providence Saturday while moving into seventh place on the NCAA's all-time scoring list with 3,011 points.

Rysheed Jordan, G, St. John's
In the Red Storm's only game of the week, a 91-90 double-overtime win at Marquette, Jordan posted 20 points, six assists and five steals while shooting 6-of-12 from the floor. The rookie honors is Jordan's fourth of the season.

Had 20 points, seven rebounds and four assists in a 91-90 double-overtime win at Marquette.

Scored 19 points and averaged 3.5 rebounds in wins against Xavier and Georgetown.
