ESPN College GameDay to Visit Two BIG EAST Campuses in 2012-13

ESPN's College GameDay Covered by State Farm - the wildly popular program that is the central platform for college basketball coverage during the season - returns for a ninth season in 2012-13, with two BIG EAST sites tabbed as destinations.

The Feb. 9 edition of the program will originiate either from Fifth Third Arena in Cincinnati as the Bearcats take on Pittsburgh or from Purcell Pavilion on the Notre Dame campus for the matchup between the Irish and Louisville. The game selected will be part of the ESPN Saturday Primetime schedule, while the other game will take place at 6 p.m. on either ESPN or ESPN2.

The March 9 edition of the show willl take place in Washington, D.C.,  in conjunction with Georgetown's game against Syracuse (noon, ESPN).

No conference will have more appearances than the BIG EAST's two on College GameDay this season.

The BIG EAST has enjoyed a major presence on ESPN College GameDay as the conference leads the nation in total days hosted (16). The league was the first to host a men's basketball College GameDay program (2005).

For the ninth year, Rece Davis will serve as point guard for the College GameDay desk, and will be joined by analysts Jay Bilas, Digger Phelps, and Jalen Rose to preview all the day's action and discuss the biggest storylines in college basketball.
