Men's Basketball Minute: Busy Week Begins With Five Games Monday

 

Five games involving BIG EAST teams dot Monday's conference ledger as the league begins a busy week.
 
BIG EAST teams will play 36 games between Monday and Sunday, with many teams participating in early-season tournaments. The BIG EAST has fared well in the early going with league teams a combined 13-2 thus far.
 
All five BIG EAST teams that play Monday will be at home. Pittsburgh gets things started at 6 p.m. on ESPN3 when the Panthers face Fordham. Providence takes on neighboring  Bryant at 7 p.m. on the BIG EAST Network.
 
Notre Dame, which moved up to No. 20 and No. 21 in this week's national polls, faces Monmouth at 7 p.m. on ESPN3. And the BIG EAST's two New Jersey representatives are both in action as Seton Hall welcomes Norfolk State to the Prudential Center at 7 p.m., and Rutgers entertains Sacred Heart at 7:30.
