Men's Basketball Minute: Louisville, Cincinnati Play For Tournament Titles Saturday

The final games of two in-season tournaments take center stage Saturday night as Louisville and Cincinnati look to add some early hardware to their trophy cases.

No. 2 Louisville was an 84-61 winner against No. 13/14 Missouri Friday in the semifinal round of the Battle 4 Atlantis in the Bahamas. That sets up a championship game showdown against No. 5 Duke at 9:30 p.m. ET on the NBC Sports Network. It will be the first meeting between Louisville's Rick Pitino and Duke's Mike Krzyzewski since March 19, 1992, when Pitino's Kentucky squad fell to Duke in the NCAA Championship in Philadelphia.

No. 22/20 Cincinnati was equally impressive in the semifinal round of the Global Sports Classic as the Bearcats handed Iowa State its first loss with a 78-70 win in Las Vegas. Guard Sean Kilpatrick scored 32 points — the most by a BIG EAST player this season — and went 16-of-16 from the free throw line. Cincinnati will face Oregon for the Global Sports Classic title at 10:30 p.m. ET on the CBS Sports Network.

Three BIG EAST teams play traditional home games on ESPN3 as Georgetown hosts Mount St. Mary's, Notre Dame entertains Saint Francis (Pa.) and St. John's welcomes Florida-Gulf Coast to Carnesecca Arena.
