Only two games were scheduled in the BIG EAST on Sunday, as both Notre Dame and Seton Hall notched victories by more than 20 points. The BIG EAST is 134-33 (.802) in non-conference games this season, including 97-7 (.933) at home.
No. 24/23 Notre Dame (10-1) got a perfect effort from Carleton Scott as the Irish went on to rout Stony Brook 88-62. Scott was 8-of-8 from the floor, including 4-of-4 from 3-point range to score 20 points in the contest. Tim Abromaitis led ND with 22 points and pulled down eight rebounds, while Ben Hansbrough added 14 points and eight assists. Notre Dame ended the first half on a 12-2 run and began the second half on a 17-7 run to build a 20-point lead in the game.
Seton Hall (6-4) improved to 4-0 at home with a 68-45 win over NJIT. Freshman forward Fuquan Edwin led the Pirates with 14 points, marking the third-straight game that Edwin has reached double figures in scoring. A Ferrakohn Hall jumper with 14:18 remaining in the first gave Seton Hall the lead for good in the contest. The home team put the game away by scoring the first 13 points of the second half, building a 45-24 lead. Jeff Robinson added 10 points and seven rebounds in the win.

Three games are on the schedule tonight as two BIG EAST teams look to remain unbeaten. Undefeated No. 4/4 Connecticut battles Coppin State, while 11-0 No. 5/5 Syracuse takes on Morgan state on in a pair of 7 p.m. starts. St. John's rounds out the action with a game against Davidson in the MSG holiday Festival at 9:30 p.m.
