St. John's midfielder Terence Leach earned BIG EAST Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, while Villanova's Dan Gutierrez was tabbed as the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week.
Leach recorded a pair of four-goal games in a 1-1 week for the Red Storm. The four goals are a career high. Leach had four points and three ground balls in a loss to Hofstra and four points and a ground ball in a win against Sacred Heart. He had four man-up goals for the week, improving his season total to eight. He leads the team with 16 goals.
Gutierrez posted 11 saves in an 11-10 upset at Syracuse on March 25. Gutierrez posted six saves each half, including several in the last five minutes, to help solidify the VU win.
