PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Georgetown's Rickey Mirabito and Syracuse's Joel White earned the final BIG EAST Men's Lacrosse Awards of the season, as Mirabito collected BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week honors and White was tabbed as BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week. The honor is the first for Mirabito after an appearance on the honor roll on March 21, while White earns Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season after collecting the honor on April 25.
Mirabito had a hand in seven of the Hoyas' 11 goals in an 11-9 win against No. 9/10 Villanova on May 7. He scored two goals and had season highs with five assists and seven points to lead GU to the win. Mirabito's 30 assists this season rank fifth in program history.
White led an Orange defense that allowed just six goals in a 20-6 victory over St. John's. White tied his career high with two goals and contributed four ground balls and three caused turnovers. It was White's third career two-goal game. He is Syracuse's career leader in points by a defensive player (28) and goals by a defensive player (18). White is third in school history with 273 ground balls.

Won 14-of-23 faceoffs and stopped Villanova on seven clear attempts. Had his seventh game with four or more caused turnovers as he also collected three ground balls.

Made a career-high 17 saves in season finale at Rutgers, a 10-7 loss. Posted a .630 save percentage against the Scarlet Knights.

Had four goals in a 10-7 win against Providence.
Tommy Palasek, Syracuse, Jr., A
Recorded two goals and two assists for four points in a 20-6 victory against St. John's.
Will Casertano, Villanova, So., A
Had two goals and three assists to lead Villanova in an 11-9 loss at Georgetown. The three assists and five points were career highs.
