NEW YORK – Tickets for the 2014 BIG EAST Men’s Soccer Championship presented by New York Life, to be played November 14 and 16 at PPL Park in Chester, Pa., are now on sale.
Tickets include free parking for the weekend and can be purchased online at comcasttix.com, www.pplpark.com, over the phone by calling 1-800-298-4200 or in person at the PPL Park box office.
The BIG EAST Men’s Soccer Championship consists of the top six teams in the final regular-season standings. After the first rounds play out on campus sites Tuesday, Nov. 11, the top four remaining teams will converge on PPL Park for the semifinals Friday, Nov. 14, and the championship game Sunday, Nov. 16. The winner earns the BIG EAST’s automatic berth to the NCAA Men’s Soccer Championship, a 48-team field that culminates in the Men’s College Cup in December and crowns a national champion.
The 2014 tournament marks the third straight year PPL Park will host the BIG EAST Men’s Soccer Championship. Marquette hung on for a 3-2 win over Providence to claim its first BIG EAST crown last season.
Opened in 2010, PPL Park is a state-of-the-art 18,500-seat facility that serves as the home of the Philadelphia Union of MLS. PPL Park has hosted various collegiate soccer events, including the 2013 NCAA Division I Men’s Soccer National Championship.
