ROSEMONT, Ill. - Four players scored in double figures as third-seeded Creighton pulled away in the second half on the way to a 61-52 BIG EAST Quarterfinals victory over Butler on Sunday at Allstate Arena.

Forward Sarah Nelson scored 21 points while MC McGrory added 12 as the Bluejays (19-12) beat the Bulldogs for the second time in five days.

McKenzie Fujan and sophomore guard Marissa Janning, the BIG EAST Player of the Year, each had 10 points. Guard Daress McClung scored a game-high 25 points for No. 6 seed Butler (15-15).

The Bluejays meets St. John's in Monday's Semifinals. The Red Storm topped Seton Hall 66-60 in an earlier Quarterfinal game.

Creighton led 21-20 at halftime in a low scoring first half marked by unproductive shooting by all but forward Nelson, who had a game-high 11 first half points.

The Bluejays were 8-of-34 (23.5 percent) from the field while the Bulldogs struggled with 8-for-22 shooting (36.4 percent) shooting.

Butler claimed a 27-26 lead on Lexus Murry's  layup with 16:40 to play, but Creighton went ahead for good 42 seconds later on Nelsons 3 pointer. The Bluejays steadily extended the advantage and opened a 50-49 lead with 5:07 to play on Janning's 3 pointer.

The Bulldogs never got closer than eight points the rest of the way.

Butler swept two regular season meetings, including a 67-59 decision in last week's regular season finale, and came into the tournament riding a three-game winning streak.
