ROSEMONT, Ill. - DePaul placed four players in double figures as it advanced to the BIG EAST Tournament Semifinals with a 78-54 victory over Georgetown on Sunday at Allstate Arena.
Megan Podkowa and Megan Rogowski scored 17 points apiece as the No. 25 Blue Demons (25-6) shook off early shooting struggles and took command in the second half of the quarterfinals clash.
Jasmine Penny had 14 points while Jessica January added 11 for DePaul.
The Blue Demons, winners of five straight and 14 of their last 15, meet Marquette or Villanova in a Monday semifinal.
Guard Logan Battle scored a game-high 20 points while Natalie Butler had 11 rebounds for the eighth-seeded Hoyas (11-21).
Georgetown led 18-14 at the 8:58 mark of the first half as DePaul struggled with three-point shooting, hitting just 2-of-12 tries to that point. But the Blue Demons turned up the defensive pressure while scoring 11 unanswered points for a 25-18 lead with 4:44 left in the half.
By halftime DePaul had constructed a 19-4 run for a 33-22 lead behind 11 points from Podkowa and 10 from Penny.

The Blue Demons led by as many as 27 points in the late going. DePaul scored 33 points off 28 Georgetown turnovers and out-rebounded the Hoyas 49-36.
Allstate Arena is home to the Blue Demon men's team. The women, who regularly play at on-campus McGrath-Phillips Arena, have not appeared in Rosemont since DePaul hosted an NCAA Regional in 2012.
DePaul beat Georgetown 92-69 and 91-74 in two regular-season meetings, the most recent coming in last week's regular-season finale.
