TOP TEN LISTS There are several BIG EAST women's basketball players that appear in the top 10 of the NCAA statistical leaders. Connecticut's Maya Moore is third in scoring with 23.9 points per game, while Syracuse's Kayla Alexander is averaging 3.2 blocks per game, tying for ninth-best in the nation. Alexander also has the ninth best field-goal percentage at 60 percent (87-of-145). Brooke Hampton, from West Virginia, is posting a 3.18 assist to turnover ratio, which ranks fifth. FAN RECORDS Connecticut hosted Louisville on Jan. 15, drawing a sellout crowd of 16,294. That crowd is tied for the fourth-largest this season in the NCAA. When Connecticut hosted Florida State on Dec. 21, 2010 there were also 16,294 fans in attendance. Louisville holds the first two single-game highs in attendance this season after drawing 22,152 when the Cardinals hosted Kentucky on Dec. 5, 2010 and 22,124 when they hosted Tennessee in the season opener on Nov. 12, 2010. BIG EAST IN THE POLLS Five BIG EAST women's basketball teams remain ranked in the Associated Press poll with six ranking in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches poll, released after the tenth week of play. This week's Coaches poll has UConn at No. 2, West Virginia at No. 9 and Notre Dame at No. 10. It is the first time three league teams ranked in the top 10 of the USA Today/ESPN poll since Jan. 19, 2009, when Connecticut, Rutgers and Louisville earned the No. 1, 9 and 10 spots, respectively. TV THIS WEEKEND RV/RV Syracuse will play at RV/RV Marquette on Saturday, Jan. 22 at 2:00 p.m. The game will be televised on BETV as well as streamed live for free on bigeast.tv. No. 2/2 Connecticut will look to extend its NCAA-record home winning streak (currently at 71 games) when the Huskies host Pittsburgh on Jan. 22 at 7:30 p.m., televised on CPTV. On Sunday, RV/23 St. John's will play at No. 11/10 Notre Dame on ESPNU at 2:00 p.m.
