Teleconference Excerpts:
Geno Auriemma, Connecticut
"At this time of year, you're fortunate enough to being playing for something other than trying to end the season on a positive note." He later continued, "we're fortunate that these next two games could be really important to us as we get ready to go forward. One of the goals of our team every year is to win the BIG EAST regular season championship because that's the first championship that's available. And we have an opportunity to do that." He went on to say, "this seems to be a year where there are an awful lot of really good freshman in the country and more specifically in our league. And not only good freshman but, freshman that have had a significant impact on the success of their team and both Bria Hartley and Stephanie Dolson here at Connecticut have certainly had a tremendous impact to the point that we would not be playing for a conference championship nor would we be where we are at right now if it was not for their contributions and how consistently well they've played."

Doug Bruno, DePaul
"UConn is special. They have a special coach and Geno does a great job. They have great players and they have the best player. It is a testament to both Geno and his staff and Maya that they're able to do what they do every year. There's greatness there for a reason. And they've got this special, special human being in Maya Moore. I don't know how many different ways I've said it through the years. I call is gumption, I call it innards. She's just got this heart of a champion." He later continued, "she's one of those special competitors in the history of sport, not just the game of women's basketball."

Muffet McGraw, Notre Dame
"It's really been tough to win this year on the road. I think the league is just so strong. You're obviously got Connecticut, a great team at the top and then you've got so many really good teams. I think anybody can beat anybody on any given night. You saw that last night with the Louisville/DePaul game. Everybody plays well at home. I think we did a pretty good job outside of the conference in getting our RPIs up. I think our RPIs look really good and it's just going to be a battle all the way down through the tournament to see how many teams we end up getting in."
