2013 marks the tenth year the BIG EAST Women's Basketball Championship Presented by American Eagle Outfitters will be in Hartford, Connecticut. During that time over one million fans have walked through the turnstiles, making it one of the most attended (men's or women's) college tournaments in the country.

The staffs at the BIG EAST and XL Center have worked diligently to make sure that the atmosphere in the city and building can match the excitement on the court.  To give some perspective, three National Champions and 10 Final Four teams have taken the court in Hartford during the last nine championships.

The centerpiece of in-venue entertainment is Fan Fest - located in the atrium of the XL Center. Every day of the championship, fans are invited to hang out in the Hoopla Lounge, pose for photos with team mascots, the BIG EAST trophy and much more. This year, a prime attraction will be a chance to meet Connecticut legend Swin Cash, who will be there to sign copies of her new book, Humble Journey: More Precious Than Gold.

For the second consecutive year, the conference will host a Chalk Talk on Monday afternoon featuring a great panel of women's basketball figures. The event is sold out but will be streamed live on BIGEAST.org/WBB. Fans can also win VIP Packages including admission to the event and tickets to both semifinal games that evening by Tweeting the hashtag #BEWBB13. Click here for more information.

The 2013 BIG EAST Women's Basketball Championship will be held from March 8-12 - for complete coverage of the event including information on coverage and tickets visit Championship Central
