First Up
The first of five final regular-season games, St. John’s will look to halt its four-game losing skid at Providence on Monday night. After claiming a program-best 11 consecutive BIG EAST victories, the Red Storm have hit a losing spell of four, their longest of the season.  St. John’s defeated Providence 85-65 in their first meeting of the season. The Friars are coming off a six-point loss at Georgetown on Saturday and are locked in the No. 10 seed in the BIG EAST Tournament. St. John’s could still finish No. 2 regardless of outcome, but would have a better chance at second place with a win. The remaining four games are set for Tuesday night.

Difference Makers
Marquette has been a key difference maker over the past two weeks. With their win over Creighton yesterday, the Golden Eagles gave DePaul the green light for the BIG EAST regular-season title and Tournament No. 1 seed. MU could do it again on Tuesday against Villanova. Should Marquette defeat Villanova, the Wildcats would drop down to fifth, with MU’s landing spot depending on what St. John’s and Creighton do in their respective regular-season finales. The Golden Eagles split the season series with the Bluejays and Red Storm.

Locked In
In addition to No. 1 DePaul, Providence, Seton Hall and Butler have all locked in their BIG EAST Tournament seeds. Following a setback to the Bulldogs, the Pirates will be the No. 7 seed and will face the No. 10 seed Friars in the First Round on Saturday at DePaul’s McGrath-Phillips Arena. Butler is the tournament’s No. 6 seed and will play the No. 3 seed, which has yet to be determined, in the quarterfinals at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Ill. The remaining seeds will be determined during the final night of regular-season action.
