Led by four players in double figures, Syracuse knocked off Seton Hall 74-44 in the first day of the BIG EAST Championship Presented by American Eagles Outfitters. Syracuse freshman guard Carmen Tyson-Thomas scored 12 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for her seventh double-double of the year.

Orange senior Erica Morrow scored 11 points and moved into second place on the school's all-time scoring list. Junior teammate Iasia Hemingway had 17 points, while sophomore Kayla Alexander added 16.

It was the second straight year Syracuse had beaten Seton Hall in the opening round of the BIG EAST Championship.

The 30-point margin of victory also was the team's largest in the margin in BIG EAST Championship play.
