HARTFORD, Conn. - Three St. John's players scored in double figures, led by sophomore Amber Thompson's 14 points and 12 rebounds as the Red Storm (18-11) beat Seton Hall 51-45 in the Second Round of the BIG EAST Women's Basketball Championship presented by American Eagle Outfitters held at the XL Center.

St. John's senior Shenneika Smith added a game-high 16 points along with six rebounds. Junior teammate Brianna Brown chipped in 12 points and grabbed seven boards.

The Red Storm held a 24-18 lead at halftime. Each team scored 27 points in the second half.

Seton Hall senior Brittany Morris had 13 points and finished her career with 997.

With the win the No. 5 seed St. John's advances to play No. 4 seed Louisville on Sunday, March 10 at Noon, ET. The game will be televised on ESPNU.
