Updated BIG EAST Notes


Six BIG EAST teams are in action on Tuesday as league teams prepare for a holiday feast of games. No. 7/8 Louisville (3-0) takes on future league member UCF in the Hardwood Tournament in Hope held in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. No. 5/6 Notre Dame (2-0) hosts Mercer at home, while Providence (1-2) heads to No. rv-17 Delaware. All three games begin at 7 p.m. ET.


USF (2-0) hosts Bradley at 5 p.m., while Pittsburgh (2-1) welcomes Wagner at 7 p.m. Syracuse (3-0) is at St. Joseph's at 7 p.m. as well.


In action on Monday, No. 25/rv Georgetown (3-1) beat LSU 71-69 at home. Senior Sugar Rodgers led the way with 17 points, eight rebounds, five assists and three steals. Senior center Sydney Wilson and sophomore forward Brittany Horne both posted career highs for the Hoyas. Horne added 16 points, while Wilson poured in 15 points. Horne also pulled down seven rebounds.


Elsewhere, DePaul (3-1) topped Yale 95-80 at home. Five Blue Demons scored in double figures. Senior Anna Martin and junior Jasmine Penny topped the scoring avalanche with 22 points apiece while Martin also had five assists. Senior Katherine Harry had 18 points and a season-high 16 rebounds. Sophomore Brittany Hrynko finished with 12 points and five assists while Redshirt-freshman Chanise Jenkins racked up season highs in points with 11 and assists with nine while adding six rebounds.


Cincinnati (2-1) beat Kent State 59-41 on the road, while Seton Hall (2-2) lost at Michigan 72-29.
