The Friars (4-4) trailed by as many as 19 with under 10 minutes to play before outscoring the Dukes (6-3) 29-10 over the next eight minutes to knot the game at 75-75 with 1:38 to play. The late rally came up short, however, as PC missed a pair of attempts from deep to keep the game within reach, while Duquesne sealed the contest with six free-throws down the final stretch. The Dukes attempted 33 shots from the charity stripe while the Friars went to the line just 10 times. Four PC players scored in double figures, including a game-high 26 by Tori Rule. Danielle Pearson was credited with nine assists, one shy of the BIG EAST season standard.
