Illinois 71, Seton Hall 70
Seton Hall University saw a 20-point second-half lead slip away as Illinois ended the game on a 28-7 run to end the Pirates’ winning streak at four games. A 14-5 surge to open the second half abruptly ended with just under nine minutes to play as SHU made just three field goals for the rest of the contest. Four Pirates scored in double figures, including a team-best 20 points by Ka-Deidre Simmons, while Sidney Cook collected 11 rebounds. The Pirates’ four-game winning streak was their longest since claiming seven consecutive victories in the 2008-09 campaign.
