Offensive Player of the Week

Katie Foran, Temple, F, Fr.
Foran led 17th ranked Temple to a pair of wins, scoring three goals and adding an assist. The freshman scored both of the Owls’ goals in a 2-1 conference win against Rutgers on Friday. Coming off the bench, she scored in the 14th minute to tie the game and notched the game-winner early in the second half. Foran scored the winning goal and added an assist in a 3-0 victory against Sacred Heart.

Defensive Player of the Week

Alyssa Voelmle, Louisville, B, Jr.
Voelmle helped limit Georgetown to only four shots in an 8-1 victory. She also added two assists in the win. It was the Cardinals’ only game of the week. Louisville is 7-2 overall, its best start since 2005. The Cardinals have given up only 12 goals in nine games this season.

Marie Elena Bolles, Connecticut, F/M, Sr.
Scored two goals and made two assists in a 7-3 victory against Villanova in a 2-0 week. The game-winner was the 14th of her career.

Sarah Butterfield, Georgetown, F, So.,
Scored two goals, including the game-winner, in a 4-3 overtime win against Saint Louis. The Hoyas were 1-1 for the week.

Sarah Breen, Old Dominion, F, So.
Scored both goals, including the game-winner, in a 2-1 overtime conference win against Providence. In a 7-0 victory over Quinnipiac, she had a goal and an assist.

Rosario Villagra, Old Dominion, F, Jr.
Amassed three goals and three assists in a 2-0 week. She had three goals and two assists in a 7-0 win against Quinnipiac and an assist in a 2-1 overtime victory over Providence.

Jessica Swoboda, Villanova, F, Jr.
Swoboda recorded five points with a goal and three assists in a 1-1 week. She had a goal and two assists in a 3-0 win over UMass-Lowell. She added an assist in a loss to Connecticut.
