Jestine Angelini Leads Connecticut into NCAA Field Hockey Final Four

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year Jestine Angelini scored two goals to lift No. 5 Connecticut to a 3-2 victory over No. 8 Penn State in the NCAA Field Hockey Quarterfinals.  The Huskies will square-off against No. 1 North Carolina in a National Semifinal match on Nov. 18 in Louisville, Ky.

UConn (19-2) clinched a berth to the National Semifinal for the 10th time in school history, and the third time in the last six years. The Huskies, winners of two national championships, improve to 28-20 all-time in NCAA Tournament play.  They are now 7-2 this season against ranked opponents and improve to 10-7 all-time in NCAA Quarterfinal games.

Syracuse also squared off in a quarterfinal game, falling to No. 4 Maryland 2-1 in overtime.  The Orange end their season with a 19-4 record and ranked No. 3 in the NFHCA Coaches' Poll.  Junior Kelsey Millman scored the lone goal for SU to tie the game with 7:20 remaining.
